ICYMI: We posted a new Beard Blade trailer earlier this week! Check it out if you haven’t already:
There is a rickety mine near the coast, but it is unclear what exactly these imps are digging for. Time for Branson to investigate! ⛏
At the end of each main level (excluding boss levels) Branson will encounter one of these grubby thieves. Chase them down and rough them up until they drop the stolen goods!
Q: In a game where you can crawl, when coming up on a crawl space like this would you expect* to auto-crawl near the entry (hero assumes crawl state) or would you expect* to manually make them crawl (crouch + move)?
*expect and/or prefer
Wandering through the woods. What kind of enemies would you expect Branson to encounter here? 🌳 (Video has no sound)
Do you think anyone is home?
Some areas feature different routes & items depending on the time of day (in-game) & have completely different challenges. In some cases, these alternate paths may simply be locked off with impenetrable Sun/Moon blocks, as shown.
Branson’s beard comes equipped with the latest in 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 ‘𝙣’ 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝™ technology.
Each level is packed with an assortment of collectibles. They won’t always be as easy to find as this giant token, so be sure to look everywhere and try everything! (also juice still yet to be added on the token collect)
We’ve had this in for quite a while now but I don’t think we ever shared it. Based on tester feedback, Branson no longer comes to a halt if you attack while running. You can keep moving while attacking. For reference, before it was more in line with classic games like Castlevania, Monster World IV & countless others where you just stop in place as you slash or whatever. If you play a lot of old games like us it didn’t feel “wrong” but we definitely can see why this feels better!
